The West Coast Eagles have dropped small forward Matt Owies from their roster, regardless of one year remaining on his agreement. The decision was announced after two seasons with the team. Owies was part of the Eagles' recent list update, which was revealed on the club's official website and in a news article from The West Australian. This move follows a pattern of list updates within the Eagles' squad, as reported by afl.com.au. The West Australian also noted Owies' departure, pointing out that he was delisted regardless of his contract's expiration. This decision marks the end of Owies' tenure with the Eagles after two seasons.
